Hi all!
Still from the "anything's possible with CA" department, here is another experiment with bird seeds:
I proceeded as for the mimosa flowers except i used ground seeds to 'paint' the tube before gluing the seeds.
There is a lot of potential with seeds... I'm thinking...
This is something i wanted to try for a while... dry crumb from a French 'baguette' stabilized with lot's of CA:
I painted the tube ends with a tan color but left the center exposed with no other reason then i needed to hold the tube while applying the paint... and it shows a bit through...
Dice inlay from Lazerlinez. Sierra Black Ti/Gold. Quick pic since I don't have time right now to do good ones, maybe next week after I get home from training.
These are real popular with my backgammon club.
Hi all!
Last month i went up to one of the barns i inherited from my father in the French southern Alps. It is located around 4000 feet, just above a village where my family has some roots.
My father used to bring me on his 'lands' - a small hour hike from the village, where we would...
Hi all, this is phoenix palm from my area on a PSI Gatsby click kit - CA finish:
This is one of the most difficult material i've been turning (after yucca maybe) - it needs tons of CA to hold up and to be honest i didn't even dare try to cut it with the usual tools, i essentially slowly...
Cathy and I had some time to play....decided to make some pens out of Premo (Polymer Clay)

The Wall St. II (Woodcraft) and Sierra (Rockler and others) pen styles offer a "satin" finish option which is located on a large area of the nib. I am wondering if anyone has any information about how durable (or not) this finish is. This plating is located in the area where the user would be...
Here is a WSII with a custom end. I've found a good way of doing this. May write up a little tutorial if anyone is interested or it hasn't already been done a dozen times. Enjoy

I found this piece of wood after everyone left Sunday. I don't know what it is but it is gorgeous, maybe Todd (oldwagon) will tell us what it is. As always my photography leaves a lot to be desired..
My good friend from Aussieland (gawdelpus) cast this blank for me on a Sierra Vista tube. Ernie @ Beartoothwoods supplied the kit. All that was left for me to do was turn and finish.
I'm not certain of the casting material, but it turns like butter, and finishes superbly.
This one was turned...
One of my customers got touch with me about the wood on a serria i sold him. He said that it split on him and wanted it replaced. I have extra tubes and wanted to know if any of you have ever been able to take one apart. I tried it on one i have around the house and I broke it all to peices. Any...
I recently bought three Wall street II "click" pen kits from Woodcraft. When turning my first one I destroyed the acrylic pen blank and tube while turning it (don't ask ). I decided to simply use a tube from another kit and soon realized that the tube in another kit was shorter 2 1/4 than...
These are Christmas presents for my wife.
The Platinum / Black Ti is a pen. The Ti Gold / Black Ti I converted to a .05mm pencil. Thanks to Scott Hettel for his video tutorial in the library. The blanks are stabilized Purple dyed Curly Poplar and the kits are from A.S. finished with Ren Wax...
I remember a pen that had the ICHTHUS symbol (fish symbol) on the band... I thought it was a Sierra... Does anyone remember that pen and know a source... I cannot seem to find it on previous post...
The one with the beautiful little girl, I poured using a photo of my youngest granddaughter. Then there is one of a longhorn with alternative ivory horns and turquoise set in mesquite. The last is a lazer cut Indian set in a colored background.
Finally got to put the blanks I made here into some Sierra kits I just ordered. A mix of gun-metal, satin, black TI and copper kits Wood is Conkerberry, Budgeroo root and Red Mallee burl cap. All finished with CA.
