Your website says US tarrifs are waived. But that's not true, the deminis is no longer waived, and your items would be incredibly expensive.

Yes I too have seen these type blanks quite often. In fact I have seen entire bowls made from colored pencils. Here is a challenge for you which I have never seen and that is have the pencils be circular all the way around the blank. Anyone can stand pencils up and cast in a square blank.

I may be wrong, but I thought that Eagle had made a colored pencil blank with the ends completely circular around the tube blank. His photos are not accessible on IAP now, so maybe an 'elder statesman' may have info to refute or verify. If anyone could do it he certainly could (although I have a thought on how... Not that tough, but time consuming).

He may have. I do not remember. I would not have put it past him with his talent. I do know he made a pen that one day I want to try. I talked with him about it and he gave me a few tips and that was his toothpick design which was 100% round. That was interesting. My challenge to OP still stands. As I said most of the pencil blanks even when into bowls are all standing straight up and down as opposed to circling the blank. It can be done but the hard part is to use a tube large enough to accommodate the pencils. Plus the lead falls out when turned. That is why one day I did this pen using colored pencil leads. I cheated. :):):) I still call it my colored pencil pen.

I wish I could find the pictures. Eagle brought his colored pencil pen to a BBQ & Igitfest in Orlando to a guy named Knothaid's house.
First time I met him and saw the amazing work he was creating.

I could not find the photo of his colored pen. but here are a few that were saved over the years. I believe many of his works never made the trip when we changed computer servers. I know someone here had his list but I believe that person has passed on too It was one of his best friends DCBluesman (Lou) He had made an album of all his pens and the link does not work any more. Here is the thread linking the passing of one of the best here. Talk about doing things never seen before. he led the way for sure.

This is the pen I want to try someday. Like to put my own spin on it.

Have to say even though I was unable to find Eagles famous colored pencil pen, I did enjoy searching and reliving some of the old member names that past through here. We sure did have alot of talented people pass through. This forum is a treasure trough of great photos and threads showing the progress over the years. It was fun.
