Here are a few different shave brushes, mixing alt ivory, PR & wood. Some cocobolo, black palm and rosewood burl, thanks for looking

Very nice Anthony, been wanting to make me some using your knots. Tried the larger AS brushes and wasnt impressed.

How well does the wood hold up to the wet environment? Any special sealant?

Wood, water & soap are not the best things to mix together daily  But the wood handles hold up well. If it were up to me, I would rather make just resin or acrylic brushes. But folks like nice wood. :) I use a CA finish on most of my wood handles. Some cocobolo and blackwood I use Waterlox oil. I just started using the acrylic tops on the wood handles to try and keep most of the water away from the wood. But when you epoxy the knot in, it is generally not going anywhere.
