Not too sure about the woods, but an interesting story: Went to a street fair here in Tennessee. Didn't show this time. Saw this guy with pretty amazing cutting boards and bought a small 12" bread board with this pattern. I told him why I was buying it. I wasn't sure whether or not he was happy with my reason. Anyway, I got it for half the price he was asking with the promise that I would bring him a pen next year. I got 8 blanks out of it. Brought it to school/work, and sold 5 of them at $45.00 each. Not bad for a $7.00 purchase.

Very nice! I have a couple of cutting boards that I intended for the same purpose but I will admit, I have a hard time cutting up a nice piece. I will say, you have pushed me over the edge. I'm all in.
