Gnarly Cherry Bowl

Cherry Burl bowl. Aprox 8" x 3" A few coats of blonde shellac and some wax for a soft patina feel and look.

Beautiful work. I love Cherry but have not found any that looks that good. I was told about a dead Cherry tree down the street, maybe I will go see if I can do the work of removing it for the wood, but again I doubt it will look as good as your Cherry.

Great looking bowl. Nice elegant shape and you've done a great job of balancing the "gnarly" parts with the regular wood. The finish looks good, too. What did you use?
