G'day!
Recently had a customer that wanted a combination of materials that I had trouble imagining how it would look. To me, I was too much, but he is super happy with it.
Turned out better than I thought.
A lovely piece of bloodwood burl sleeved with black ebonite, coloured ebonite finials and section, ca finish, watch crown roll stop, jowo #6 nib.
Thanks for looking

Certainly a well-executed pen, Casey !!!!

But . . . . I am having a bit of trouble with the "colored" parts . . . . I would have preferred them to be black .

Sorry to have to say that, but from what you, yourself, admitted, I think you might have been inclined similarly.

But, as I said . . . . certainly well done !!!

well executed. As they say the customer is always right. But a solid color would have made a more pleasing pen that highlighted the great piece of wood you used.

I have to agree with about that multicolor ebonite, but a happy customer is always the goal. That wood is really beautiful and you did a fantastic job with it altogether! For what it's worth, I do think the swirl on the top of the cap is really cool. Just would look cooler on a solid color pen. If you have some of it left, I would bet it would look amazing with some African blackwood.

HILARIOUS !!!!

I laughed and laughed about how you expressed ... "everybody is entitled to his own opinion" ... in such a way !!!! . :D:D

But having lived in Australia myself, I can really appreciate that sense of humour coming from "Down Under" !! :D :D

I would also agree with Todd in suggesting the beaut, colorful ebonite being used with a solid colour (e. g. black ) barrel & cap .

The Bloodwood is a material I am allergic too, but that is a stunning blank. I agree also with the material combination, but you did a fine job. Well done Mate.

Impressive work yet again Casey.
That's a lovely piece of wood, is it Aussie Bloodwood or other ?
Though, I think I would like it more if the Ebonite was a little more subtle.
