This has been a long time in the making, there always seems to be something else in the shed that needs doing first.
Turned out quite nice in the end, lots of character.

There you go, who said that "non-perfect" (perfect defined as, a flawless piece of wood, according to "some" people...!), couldn't produce a very interesting piece full of scars, creatures presence <<<remains>>>, natural deterioration process with all the markings from the fungi activity, through time and age...!!! huh...???:biggrin:

I would like to see, human "artists" re-create that...!:biggrin::biggrin:

I hope that the only thing is left from the wood eating creatures, is their <<<remains>>> and not their "present" live home...! they make a very fine sawdust, in their "house cleaning" daily routine...!

In this case, simple is better, and you done that, congrats...!

Cheers

Purty chunk of timber! The pits and cracks are pure character and actually make this bowl more pleasing to the eye....at least I think so.

What finish did you use?

That is one nice bowl. All those cracks, checks and wormholes really lend a natural look to it.
