Birch Hollow Form with Candy Colors. Came from my yard, a casualty of the Halloween Storm of 2011. Turned green thin and dried in a week. Airbrushed a purple / blue / green fade over an opaque metal flake to translucent base fade. Finished with EM6000 waterborne lacquer. My largest hollow form yet, about 10" (25cm) tall.

Thanks all,

WB - go for it on airbrushing pens, I've airbrushed many of them, it is pretty easy to get nice effects!

Hate you lost a tree during a storm, but seems like you put it to good use! Love the shape, just screams vase over here-look at me! And the colored base = A++
