I was in my local Woodcraft in Springfield, VA last night. They get there shipments on Wednesday so that is a good day to see new stuff.

Well they just received some bushings for a "Circuit Board USB Keychain." I have never heard of one and none of the guys working there had either. We got to looking at Woodcraft's website, catalog, sales flyer, and finally their warehouse inventory for any thing that resembled a kit to go to these bushings.

The part number for them is 150293. This part number does not show up on line as of yet though.

Has anyone heard of anything about these? I am very interested in getting my hands on some of these.

I haven't seen them, but that wouldn't be a bad idea. If you could embed it in clear casting resin, in a PVC tube you wouldn't even have to turn it, just polish it and sell it. Geeks would get a kick out of a matching set of a pen and a USB.

They had them out a few years back, I believe they were 128 and 256 megs only, the prices were high and they didn't do too well. They may go better now, but I wouldn't overstock them.

I just checked, and it's not hard to take the case off of a 1 meg kingston. I kinda think it would be pretty cool to embed it in resin. I guess I'm one of those geeks.

I am too. I like the idea of embedding in resin. I think the big thing to me is the size of the case as in too big makes it too difficult to plug in as well as bulky to carry.

There was an ad in the paper yesterday for a 4G stick from Fry's. With the rebate they were $5 or $6 !! Might be worth picking up a few to experiment with.

$40 for the PSI kit seems waaaaay excessive:eek:...bet they don't sell too many of those??

I have to agree! I bet they don't... Even Walmart will get you a much better price and capacity. Price for the kit and smaller capacity is not compelling especially when I use these daily...
