    I've always like the comfort line vs the slim line. The pen looks nice. I like the simple lines and slight bulges for the tubes.

    I agree with all answers above, but as @d_bondi said - sharp tools!! The wood will be at it's weakest if all grain is truly horizontal...

    When I had it done I would finish the pen blank completely then engrave. I also used Rub N Buff. Just rub it into engraving and buff off...

    RUB 'N BUFF is what I used to fill the engraving when I thought engraved names on pens was cool and nice looking.
