Yoyos great fun

These are a couple of yoyos I have made recently. I have always been a yoyo fan. Kids today just don't know what fun is, althought I saw a young boy with on the other day. These are made with the PSI kit. I made one (which I won't show) Yoyospins way. I'm going to do more like Yoyospin does. They are fun to make to. The first on is made from a sample of wood flooring I had. Can't remember what wood it is. The second one is curly maple dyed with laser printer ink. The second one wobbles a little. I'll do better next time.

Those are pretty cool! Do you have to have a special mandrel to turn the yoyos?

These use a short 1/4" mandil same as you use with 7mm pens. You could use the pen turning mandril in a collet chuck, just pushed in some. If you do Yoyospins method you use a chuck.
