Anyone else go to the woodpeckers website and think, "I'll take one of everything." Too bad so much of it is so expensive. That said, I could have bought some really nice stuff with the money I've spent on "bargain" tools and yard equipment that I've had to replace much earlier than anticipated because it (1) broke, (2) broke down, (3) was poorly designed, (4) wore out/lost power, and/or (5) couldn't do the job. I usually take pretty good care of my stuff, too. I'm the sort of guy who follows the manual for maintenance even when it seems like overkill!
At least the woodpeckers stuff is nice. Thoughtfully engineered. Elegant clever designs. And built to last. I just need to think long and hard about whether the tool they are selling is something I need, or something I want. That in itself is a virtue!
