This is a two interlocking captive ring goblet I made for a friend's wedding gift. I used Tulip Poplar. I also hand burned their names into the rings along with scripture verses on the opposite sides and the wedding date on the cup itself. I was going to have them laser engraved, but I prefer the handmade look even though I failed every handwriting course I was ever in in grade school.:wink:

I still have a little finishing to do to get the look I want, but this is basically it.

Fantastic item. This is an example of the sort of thing that I like the most. There are items that impress turners and items that are perfect fits for a special occasion. I most love those items that are well thought out and executed gifts from the heart like this.
