I've read about the "Walmart pen" in various forums here and others and just wondering if anyone ever tested how well the kits finish hold up?

It is nice to save some money on kits but as usual, I find the saying that you get what you pay for to be almost always true...and DO NOT believe this pen will be one of the few exceptions. Of course I could be mistaken.

Personally, I won't put my efforts on one but that is just me.

Any thoughts?

I would assume it's a very thin plating.

Wonder what would happen if someone threw another PC on it? Hate to put too much work into a cheapo pen kit, but an idea none the less.

While mine (the metal one) didn't get an incredible amount of wear, I did use it daily for about a year and it still looks the same. The only thing I don't like about them is the cheap plastic Bic click refill.

i think the idea started out as a give away pen, don't think i'd sell them but i'd give em away, most people i know buy pens at wally world anyway so this idea would just add to the pen.
