I made a WS a couple months ago, and the barrel came up a smidget short. Without looking at it close or thinking about it much, I assumed it was my fault. So I tapered the end and made it the pen I carried. It looks Sweet, but was a minor error I wouldn't sell. I made a few that are fine after that. Then the last one I made, again the turned blank had a gap between it and the lower section, because the insides wouldn't go in any farther without wedging and making it not usable. If anything, I left a tad bit beyond the barrel end. With this problem, I could have left maybe 4mm more and it would have been fine. Seems to me, my job is to cut it to match the brass sleeve, but now I have to test them Long and cut them back until they fit. It's like the silver barrel the refill fits in was made to long, and I can't do anything about that.
I'll add a picture in a bit, but wondered if anyone else ever had this problem with a WS III ?
Also, in the past month, from WoodCraft, I one time came up with a piece not in my kit and another time an entirely WRONG piece. That's discouraging. Guess I need to inventory them AT the store?
