I served active duty in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. I made this pen to commemorate Vietnam veterans. It has the Vietnam service ribbon and the National Defense ribbon. Thanks to all veterans and Welcome Home!

I've thought long and hard about how to make one of these for my Dad who served two tours in Vietnam, using acrylics and the Vietnam conflict ribbon colors. Now I have a picture to help.

Thanks for the picture and thanks for your service.

very nice, I want to do one, with the ribbon on top, if I can find my ribbon and a 7.62 cartridge on the bottom, I had the M-14.

Thank you for making that.

Great Looking Pen Bill. Is it all acrylics?

PS The tailboom in your profile pic brings back some great memories...

Sure, I can show you. It is basically a decal resized for the tube, then cast in PR. Fairly simple.

Everybody says I look younger than I feel! :) I was drafted in 71. Currently 59 years and counting til retirement, if I ever can! The pic is at an air show in Houston. Just had to take a pic with it.

Starting on some decal pens today.
I've already ordered a couple of 7.62 NATO's from Eric.
This will make a better top than burl or jungle camo.

Thanks for the idea.

Darn, there is a tutorial some where about making them with real ribbons cast. I have the pictures to the tutorial but not the document.

Lee, You have an address for Eric
