Turning a shaving cream brush handle

Hi all,

Looking for some ideas turning a shaving cream brush handle from tru-stone.
Could I turn it round between centers, then chuck it up and proceed like a makeup brush/bottle stopper? I was looking at Ed Davidson's video in the library and he is starting with a round blank.

Is this the best way or is there a simpler/easier/better method. As you can tell, I'm pretty new at this. Any help greatly appreciated.

Thank you Carl, that was helpful. Appears the method I had in mind will work. I have a tendancy to sometimes make things more complicated than necessary:redface:. It aint rocket science:biggrin:. BTW, where is Hellertown? I grewup in western PA, Clarion. My mother lives in Bangor.
