These are for my daughters in ILL.. they are a little on the large isze.. about 5 in. long..

This one is BloodWood and Birdseye Maple..

These two are numbers 7 & 8 in my attempts.. finally got a couple that look acceptable.
I used the HUT Crystal Coat for a finish

Interesting. Are you glueing the pieces together before you turn or after. I would recommend smaller eye screws. Michaels and Hobby Lobby usually carry them.

Yeah, I know, but that was all I had in the shop at the time... already sent them to daughters, so can't change them now... went to Lowe's today and got some nice smaller brass one... they'll look better.

I glued the pieces together before I turned them.. used GG and let it set overnight.

The purpleheart will brighten up some when the daughter hangs it on the tree.. I hope.
