I have been negligent in posting for some time.....retirement really changed my woodturning focus away from pens.
My latest creation of a Torus Teapot was an endeavour I used to challenge myself. The Torus body is 16" diameter and 4" wide. The woods selected are walnut, maple, figured maple, red elm, oak and cherry. The spheres are made of spalted Tamarind. The finish is Tung Oil.
The Torus Teapot was entered into the 2026 Insights Juried Exhibition of Fine Arts. The Torus Teapot was accepted into the Exhibition and during the opening night gala, I was pleased to be presented the Artisanal Arts Award.
