(An old cliche) but I met him yesterday while attempting to unravel the mysteries with my 1st componentless FP.

Is the nib supposed to fit tight against the section? The reason the section is an odd color is because I was just using left over pieces to experiment with....

I would have a cap but I managed to "pull" the threads on the 1st effort & on the 2nd effort I managed to crack the plastic..
(now I am out of pieces)lol

Is there a source to buy nibs with the sections already threaded?

As soon as Slabs/blanks/boards sends me another piece of alumilite I will try to make a cap....(i have heard that 3rd time is charm)..

For the nib, yes you will need to step drill the very front of your grip section to accommodate that small step in the feed housing. It should sit flush with the front of the grip section when seated fully.

Otherwise great start.
