Awesome wouldn't describe it. I save all kinds of pieces of scrap. I have several thin strips of red oak from trimming stair treads. They are about 1/8 inch thick. Going to cut them into squares, glue up and turn.

Excellent pen Angela. It worked out extremely well, and yes, there are many ways you can use spectraply for segmenting. I love their color schemes, and the fact that you can buy pens blanks as well as larger bricks and cut to whatever size you want is a real advantage.
