Just a update on the problems with air bubbles on th snake skins problem I reported a few days ago.
Good news! Im' not sure just what cured the problem but this weeken I finally got good results on two skins. Here is what I did, I used thin C.A. to coat the skins. I increased the casting pressure from 20 p.s.i. up to 60 p.s.i. I filled the tubes with the Play-Doe I "borrower" from my grandson. I de-aird the P.R.in the vacuum pot before pouring. I used 3 drops of hardner to the ounce of P.R. I cast each tube and skin in a seperate mold that just holds an ounce of resin. I spread each one out in the pressure pot to avoid the heating of each other. Now if I can duplicat this procedure over and over I think I've got it licked. Thanks everyone for the input, I think I uses a little advise from everyone.
