Sierra Twist with Purple Heart

Spent some time at the lathe again this past week. Here's one of my turnings.

A special request for a Purple Heart pen as a Christmas gift for someone's wife. Finished with CA.

I look forward to hearing their response when they have it in hand.

Thoughts and/or feedback always appreciated.

Very nice pen. Fit and finish are outstanding.
Hmmm. That PH looks very dark. I took a pen turning class at Woodcraft. The pen blank was PH which my wife claimed and keeps in her Bible case. Color still holds out.

Thank you appreciate your kind words and feedback. I am curious how long the PH will remain dark, my understanding is that it will change over time. It is dark but the photo also didn't catch well the purple hue it has.

Thank you. This is the darkest I've had PH turn out. The photo also didn't capture well the purple hue that is present in certain natural light. Overall I like how it looks.
