Show me the top of your pressure pot

I'm getting set up to start casting.

I'm curious how similar / differently people have their pressure pot plumbed.

Take a shot of the top so we can see.

Here's what I've got. Made it as simple as I could. It's just a simple 1/4" brass nipple hooked to a cross the gauge (purchased from surpluscenter.com) shows both vacuum and pressure, the 1/4" cutoff valve came from home depot in the air tool aisle, The female adapter in the back is for future vacuum endeavors. Don't try to re-use any fittings on the tank, throw them all away. I did however re-use the air dispersment fitting on the bottom of the lid. Buy all the fittings you can from the air tool aisle rather than the plumbing depth, saves $

I don't understand the need for all that extra stuff. Fittings are expensive, and it's just not necessary.

Me too, but I ended up taking off the vacuum pump because I have never had the need.

Pretty simple here. All I have is a brass t with a pop off valve and pressure gauge in on port. Then air inlet with a ball valve on the other port.

It is if you are using vac and pressure simultaneously. Just saying. I love the versatility.

Here is my simple set up...

The gauge is from Vac to 7 bar so can handle both and is mounted on the pressure relief valve ( which I have calibrated )

Then just a good non-return valve to connect either my vac or compressor.
