I had a lot of fun with this one. I bought some shark teeth from a supplier in FL and then resin cast them in a Sierra tube mold from ptownsubbie. The pen featured uses black teeth from 5 to 20 million years ago.

The blanks showing the white teeth are from Morocco (I think, or a kind of shark called a Morocco shark?).

In any case, I used carbide to turn, lots of sanding, and I ended up doing a CA polish just to ensure that no teeth pop out of the body. Blue and White mica powders were used and I think I waited the right amount of time for little to no separation on the black tooth pen and not quite enough time on the white tooth blanks...as those don't have quite the same defined difference between the blue and white resin colors.

Extra pics and a little more of the how-to are here at the shark tooth pen blog post I did. I still have about 5 of the white shark teeth blanks on hand if anyone is interested. You can also find them at https://mywood.shop. Thanks for looking. I want to do shark vertebrae next!

Very Nice! I like the look. I've thought about trying to do something with shark teeth but never came up with a procedure I liked. Out of curiosity did you have trouble with the teeth chipping? I'm thinking if they're like human teeth they would be very hard and brittle.
