RUSSIAN OLIVE BURL

G'day!
Made this 'Majestic' fountain pen last night, rhodium plating and black titanium accents from PSI, which is now being stocked in Australia by Steve's Woodcraft. Quite exciting, we now have a great range of kits to try. This is a grand pen, massive! A lovely swarovski crystal embedded in the clip, and lovely finish and threads.
I paired it with some stabilised Russian olive burl, which is tricky to capture the chatoyance and beauty within. Ca finish

That's gorgeous! When we lived in NY, our neighbors had a Russian Olive tree. It smelled amazing when it bloomed.

Thanks for posting about Steve's Woodcraft, I was unaware of them. Looks like they have a great range of kits that aren't available from my regular suppliers, there are a few there that I have been wanting to try, but I don't like getting stuff from overseas if I can help it.
