G'day!
Me again!
I'm introducing a new model soon, gathering half a dozen to a dozen pens for a promo photo shoot then releasing these. 'The natural range'. They are larger pens, M14 triple start threads.
This piece of rib fruited mallee burl was a pleasure from start to finish. Beautiful sweet fruity smell through the shop. I love how some of the burl sapwood came through as 2 tone.
Fully lined with ebonite, ebonite section and timber finished with my boiled linseed 'burnish' method.
Also, this timber came from a friend who passed away the other day, Neale France from Djarilmari timbers in Western Australia, so was a kind of tribute to him.
Rest in peace Neale!
Thanks
Casey.

Wow, that's a nicely figured burl! Maybe you should have saved this one for the pretty wood pen contest. The bash isn't too far away. I'm sure you'll find something comparable. You've been turning some amazing pens lately!
