Here is the booth setup of a recent show My brother and I did... What do you all think? Does it look pretty good or what?

I am looking for some constructive criticism to help us improve.

I like your setup. The Pens are displayed nice on the black. I like one thing that I always try to watch for, and that is that the cover over the table is high enough so that it does not interfere with the feet of customers. A lot of displays I see have the cover all the way to the ground. Just my pet peeve.
I like the blanks on the table so that you can bring in the customers and have something to start conversation or to keep the conversation going so that other customers can overhear your descriptions.
I like the signs on the awning but I think you need one on the front of the table so that they can see your name. Show it proudly!

I agree with jaeger, a logo on the front of the table would likely be a more effective placement, but it certainly looks nice art is.

Awesome! Where was this show? If you do anymore, let me know. I'll swing by and introdcuce myself.
The setup looks great. How was the show itself? Were people buying what you were selling?

I think I might have put up my sidewalls so all of that clutter from the other 2 booths wasn't distracting customers. If you want to get the table cloth up off the ground a bit the easiest way to do it is get some PVC pipe for each leg. Make you entire display lift up about 4 inches(easier on the eyes). Maybe get a sigle glass display case and add your most expensive pens in it(makes them look more appealing to the guy who already has everything)

there is my $0.02 worth.

Thank you all for the input. To answer a few questions on this feed and the PMs I have received…

The display board is one that I custom made out of a ton of 6" trapezoid pieces that are covered in felt and pin nailed to a piece of ½" plywood. All of the front exposed edges are covered in felt as well. I will try to get some clearer pictures of it uploaded.

I have a cousin that owns www.MyTradeshowDisplay.com. He got me a good deal on my tent, the teardrop banner on the front right tent pole (can't see but half of the banner), and the artwork on them both. PM me if you want his contact info as he does excellent work and he can give great rates too.

We were a little short on cash for booth upgrades (table covers, walls and such) so we opted to put our cash into making more pens. Our next show we should have some walls for covering the sides to block out the neighbors cluttered up looks. I was thinking of putting a laser engraved logo on a plaque of wood in the bottom center of the main display board. Table cloths instead of our current black sheets would be a nice touch, especially if I get them with the HB logo on them.

I am also working on building a glass (plexi-glass) case for displaying the upper end of our collection. I just have not come up with a design that I like yet.

I do like the idea to raise the table height. It did feel a tad low during the show, and my back was starting to feel it with all the leaning over. What do you all think would be a good height for the table at my next show? Your standard kitchen counter top is 42", I think. Would that be a good height?

We had server styles of pens available, razors, bullet pens, etc… and we were all over the board from high end to low end and from the flashy to the subdued for what were sold.

We are not sure what shows we will be up to next. Unfortunately our real work jobs get in the way of the fun "turning" jobs.

I raised mine 4 inches(5 might even be better). It worked pretty well, if you go that route make sure you get some extra pieces of pipe to add for low spots and holes. look for fitted table cloths on Amazon(found some pretty reasonable) I found these display cases on ebay(an idea for you to look at)Acrylic Display Case 9x9x20 Countertop Jewelry Display Showcase (revolve avail) | eBay and here is one with pens in it to show demensions with pens in it.

When you can find the time add some pictures of your work and shop. Jurie/judges will be looking at the toatal booth appearance not just the table. also, raise the height of the tables several inches. I used 4 x 4 blocks with holes to fit the table legs.
