So, my father-in-law, who loves to visit the metal scrap yard, calls me up and tells me he found 2 stainless steel 5 gallon pressure pots in like new condition. Says I can buy them for the weight cost of scrap stainless and that he would stay there and "guard" them until I can come take a look.
So, this morning, I drove down there and sure enough, there were these 2, 5 gallon Graco ASME Certified pressure pots. The seals inside are in perfect condition and they look barely used, if at all. We got the weight of them and it calculated out to $75 each! Needless to say, I jerked out the debit card and QUICKLY paid for them before anyone could change their mind!
These are ASME certified with a working pressure of 100 psi! When I got home, I looked them up on the net and found that the ones I bought normally have an agitator in them which was missing. Other than that, all the remainder of the parts are there. With the agitator, they retail for $2,180 EACH. They also have a model exactly the same except without the agitator. Those retail for $1,600 EACH! So, basically, I got $3,200 worth of pressure pots for $150! Heck, they are selling used on E-bay for $800-900!
Talk about the gloat and deal of the century!!
