I had a client who recently had lung surgery. He wanted a pen for his surgeon and said I could pick out any style of fountain pen or wood for him. So, I was looking in my inventory and had a Jr. Retro FP in 10K Gold in stock.
Then I picked out a piece of Cinnamon from Hawaii that was rather plain looking on the outside. While turning the blanks so of the interior character began to show.

To my surprise, this turned out to be a spectacular blank and one of the best looking pens I have made. If fact, I am having second thoughts on selling this fountain pen.

Nice looking pen... I've not turned cinnamon, but I assume it smells nice when turning. This one looks nice, too.
