Upgraded computer hardware and OS due to recent Microsoft's abandonment of Win 7 (which was still operating perfectly but slowing).
Of course, such a transition is never as simple/straightforward as "they" say it will be .... and .... yeah .... no surprise there !!!!
On Win 7, I had been using a freebee photoediting package called PhotoScape ... there had been (back a few years) no prob installing that.
On Win 10, downloaded the appropriate version (I think) of PhotoScape ... attempted to install from the new download ... NO GO !
Well .... all that happens is a tiny circulating blue arrow in center of screen, going around, and around ... and around ... and around ... ad nauseam forever.
Tried a different freebee photoediting package called PhotoPad ... new to me ... same procedure ... download ... attempt to install ... NO GO !
Exactly same result for both packages. . Both downloads appear in my Win 10 Downloads folder. . Neither wants to install within my lifetime.
Anyone have advice getting either package working in Win 10 ?. I don't particularly want to buy software, as only rarely need very basic functions.
Thanks in advance for any advice ... I'll even thank you again afterwards !!
