I'm getting low on peppermills at the Museum Market place here in Tellico Plains...so I've made up a few more to take down there.
These are made from blanks I glued up... I take 1 x 3 x 12 inch boards, glue them up in a block about 13 to 14 inches wide, then cut them at an angle starting about 3 inches from the edge at the top and angled to about the 6 inch mark at the bottom... these are all crush grinds, from about 8 1/2 to 10 inches tall. Finish is an abrasive grit, with sanding sealer on top and then multiple coasts of wipe on poly... woods are paduak, cocobolo, black limba, aspen, maple, red grandis, amd marb;ewppd. I think I got them all.

Very nice! Wife and I were in the museum a while back when Bald River Falls was frozen. I didn't see any of your turning there. Are you displayed in the building behind the museum. Saw it too late to look.

Great work as always, Chuck. Glad to see you aren't losing your touch. The Winter Market in Knoxville has been phenomenal.

Hey Chuck I had to come back and have another look at these. I love the red ones with that mixture of woods. Not that the others are not also nice but the red stands proud. I assume these are big sellers for you. Would you mind if I asked a price range you get for these? And are they all the same size? Is there a shape that people gravitate more toward than others? Again nice work.
