Should the cavity that holds the peppercorns be sealed with something? I haven't seen any instructions telling me to seal them, but I'm a bit concerned, especially when using an oily wood like Cocobolo. If so, any suggestions with what to use?
 
No mater what finish you use on the inside of a mill, the peppercorns are abrasive enough to sand the finish down in no time. Best to use no finish at all.

I don't know if I would use cocobolo for a peppermill for the same reason above.
 
Some people use a food grade tubing on the inside, to keep the pepper corns from touching the wood. I have been searching for tubing but I haven't found the right size yet. If someone else here has found some please let me know where.
 
I was told it isn't a good idea to use Cocobolo due to some allergic reactions. Some suggested to drill it oversize and add a food safe wood sleeve to the inside. I like the idea of the food grade plastic sleeves.
