Here I've transferred the blank to a regular mandrel with Delrin bushings for finishing.




After finishing with CA.

Those (presumably Delrin) finishing bushings should work great between centers

Is there a gain here??

Probably would not have to swap out to a regular mandrel. Just put in the Delrin bushings on the floating mandrel. Good point.

I disagree that Delrin bushings would work finishing between centers, especially on a 7mm tube. The whole thing would fly apart with the slightest bit of sideward pressure.

I found them amazon I think it was and got 2 sets of them. Haven't tried them yet due to health reasons so I am not turning anything right now. I am looking forward to trying them out though. The ones I got are the first set shown.
