My father and I always enjoyed working with wood. Here are a few pictures of some of the stuff we do in our house. I personally hand stained every piece of pine here including the tongue and groove. We made all of the trim for the rooms as well (wood and metal).

This is all done with Pine. I tried out my new dado blades for the plate rack and the server is made from a 10" log cut for the legs and the top is a pine slab. Surprising enough, this thing weighs at least 350lbs. with the legs.

Brian, good looking work you are doing! I live in a cypress log home that we just love. Very efficient and low, low maintenance. Something about open and airy wood ceilings and walls that make you feel at home. Very nice, indeed!
