Here is a DuraClick dressed in Orange and Yellow Jasper.

One more pen created from solid stone.

Thanks for looking!

It's a beautiful pen, and what was used as a blank, is just to cool. How heavy does using a stone blank make the pen, compared to using a hardwood blank?

I can't tell you how it compares to a hardwood blank, I haven't done any wood pens.

I just weighed three of my DuraClicks. One Petrified Wood and two Jasper. They all weigh in at 43.5 grams plus or minus 1/2 a gram. The kit itself weighs 33.76 grams.

Yes. Wood weighs less, but the DuraClicks I'm making out of stone, the stone is less that 25% of the total pen weight.

I hope that answers your question.
