Carved a Maple Leaf into a Goose Egg then airbrushed the inside of the egg red to create a Canadian Flag look.

Charlie - With the right techniques, there is not a lot of risk of breaking the egg while carving. The big risk is cutting through a planned filgree rib and having holes that are bigger then planned.

What do you carve that with? Man that takes a steady hand!!! That is a awesome egg right there nice job.

Egg carving is typically done with a microturbine air tool, with the two most common products being the Turbo Carver or the NSK Presto.

Both of these use 1/16" shank dental burrs.

I used the NSK Presto with a 699L burr for this piece
