Newbie here. I got a lathe for Christmas and look forward to getting my things I need to turn pens. I'm from SW Oklahoma and can't wait for turning therapy and to eventually make pens to sell with my wife's craft business and tumblers.

Welcome from Texas Adam. Funny you use the term therapy. I use the broader term addiction. There's a few others but they come and go. The bottom line is it's all worth it. Unless you ask my wife.

Welcome Adam. It is good therapy but it can also get expensive!

I love woodworking, and I lived overseas for 26 years in large cities with little space for woodworking. I carried a pen lathe back with me on one of my trips and got to enjoy the smell of wood on a regular basis then. And it was nice to make pens.

Lots of good information here. Just ask.
