Welcome Adam. It is good therapy but it can also get expensive!
I love woodworking, and I lived overseas for 26 years in large cities with little space for woodworking. I carried a pen lathe back with me on one of my trips and got to enjoy the smell of wood on a regular basis then. And it was nice to make pens.
