I usually do not make any because just does not work out well. But my thoughts and hopes are to continue with the progress of getting my house completed with a whole house restoration that I started about 5 years go. Each year I laid out certain projects I wanted to get done but not overwhelm myself where I am constantly working on it all year long. This has worked well and probably about 2 years away from total completion and relaxation. All the major work has been done with the bath and kitchen done this past year. I have now one room left that I will be able to do myself and then installing moldings and doors and painting. Last year will be a complete landscape redo.

BUt with that all said I really do want to spend some shop time this year in making some unique pens as well as doing some pen boxes and pen stands to go along with them. Would love to do some scrolling but that will have to wait. I just have that itch again to finally show something here and maybe inspire a few ideas for others as well.

Now I say this with all good intentions but I do have some health issues looming and spent a good part of this past year getting tests done and getting cleared for some surgery. If all goes well than the plans mentioned above will play out.

So Happy New Year to one and all and hope this year brings good health, happiness and plenty of shop time for all. 🥳

More dog walking with rescue dog . Chills us both out .

Also schedule some shop time as gone self employed and doing long hours ( it's actually fun 🤩) but need to make some stuff too.

I hate New Year Resolutions.
... and I dislike using the word "hate" in forums and conversation. There are rare instances where no other word is appropriate, and this is one of them.

My father was a strict, disciplined man. Every year he forced us children to write New Year resolutions, review them with him, and revise them, ad nauseam. We were little kids, so naturally there was resistance, tears, yelling, slammed doors, you name it. The process of writing them took an entire day and was so unfair, especially considering that we were off from school. He would remember the resolutions in all their glorious detail and would occasionally ask us about our progress throughout the year. Today, people would say that he "weaponized" New Year resolutions. :-(

Apologies to all here. That triggered a deep memory. For the record, I love my father very much and know that he meant well, but that particular habit made every New Years Eve day miserable.
