I'm pretty new to pen turning but already pretty addicted. I have to force myself to get my other woodworking projects done before I start turning or I'll be on the lathe all day.

Here are a few of my latest pens. Please feel free to comment and critique.

Welcome to the IAP, and welcome to the sickness. You look to be well on your way. Some nice pens there. What finish are you using?

Thanks guys.

For my finish, I use an 9 step process:

Steps 1,3 & 5 are Thin CA
Steps 2,4, & 6 are BLO
Step 7 is EEE Polishing Wax
Steps 8-9 are Shellawax

Seems like a lot, but it only takes about 5 minutes and I get a really nice gloss.

Of course, the Cigar pen was different since the label is under the finish. It was a build up of Thick and Medium CA then sanded and polished much like acrylic.
