Another member that recently bought some burl and figured wood from me gave me the heads up on this site. I'm new to turning and beautiful wood is my business so this site is great for me.

I've been mainly turning bowls but recently made my first 2 pens. I'm sure I'll come up with many questions on turning and look forward to learning from you all. Maybe I'll even end up selling some wood here too.

Thanks!!!!

Welcome Eric. I'd love to see pictures of the pens you've made. You can also post pictures of bowls and things on "Other things we amke" forum.

Below are links to two threads/articles that have lots of information on pen turning. The first one is a very basic overview of the many aspects of getting into turning pens.

The second link has postings by different pen turners and what they wish they had known earlier:

Here is another link - a PDF on the acronyms used here. I am sure you know many but this will help with those you don't.

Welcome to the pen vortex. I love the wood listed on your site, but I couldn't find prices on several of the items. I'll check it periodically.
