Well guys, I have been turning now for about 1 year. As you all have said, there isnt enought time to turn because our real jobs get in the way. I just found your site yesterday as I have had time to surf the net being on vacation in the mountains. I have to say, I have learned more from you guys in the last day than I have in the last 9 months. Thanks for all of the good information and especially the websites and new ways of doing things. I hope I can give information that will help in the future. Thanks again and look forward to meeting some of you. Mesquite man, I am heading down to San Antonio in feb, maybe I can stop in and get some pointers. Glen

Welcome Glen, to the madness of pen turning!

Below are links to two threads/articles that have lots of information on pen turning. The first one is a very basic overview of the many aspects of getting into turning pens.

The second link has postings by different pen turners and what they wish they had known earlier:

Here is another link - a PDF on the acronyms used here. I am sure you know many but this will help with those you don't.
