Myrtle Bowl

I bought this piece at Rockler and gor this out of it. I am sending to someone very special for Christmas. I left the base a little thick but it is big enough for some sweets for her to enjoy. I had fun making it and it has at this point about 6 coats of Deft on it, I steel wooled it again and put 2 more coats and it shines nicely.

very nice looking bowl. that is a difficult shape to turn compared to a more circular sphere type shape (i'm sure you already know this) and you did it well.

I really like myrtle. My daily dishes are all made out of myrtle. Nice shape and I also like the knot.
