It depends on what you are looking for. Mylands gives you the feel of wood better and a more natural look, but not very durable. Ca gives you a much more durable finish and a finish with more shine. Some people feel it looks like plastic though.

It also depends on the body chemistry of the pen owner. I have one finished with Mylands that's been in the field about 18 months and is only just now beginning to show wear. And he uses it many times every day. I've even seen him frequently fiddling with it.

if you use the friction polish, wax, shellac etc tell your customers
"its like a fine piece of furniture, needs to be touch up with polish everyonce in a while"

thats what i do....
