G'day!
A customer asked for a lighter body and darker cap. Went through my stash and thought these would go well together. The spalting lines look fantastic!
She wanted a natural finish, so sanded to 800 and rubbed in some bees wax polish.
Fully sleeved with ebonite, section is also ebonite.
Added a watch crown roll stop and a paua shell finial.

Thanks for looking

That is very, very well done. Several elements I find appealing: The watch roll stop (NICE), the spalted Banyan and the ebony are a great match. A unique look - works for me! 👍 👍

What would the French say ?

MAGNIFIQUE !!!!! . . . . . M*A*G*N*I*F*I*Q*U*E . . !!!!!

I hope I got the spelling right !! . . . My English vocabulary is no longer adequate !!!

Never gave it too much thought but using different woods for the cap and body works really well here. Something I'll consider in the future for sure. Well done mate!
