It's not a pen but I needed one to turn pen barrels between centers and making it was more fun than buying one. Turned from 3/4" 6061 aluminum on a Prazi MD65. Aluminum won't hold up as long as steel but I had Aluminum on hand and I left extra length so the point can be recut many more times. Getting the long taper was a pain as very minor changes at the compound made major changes in dimensions.
