This is a PSI Magnetic Vertex rollerball pen, in gunmetal. I purchased it at Rockler. The blank is an Aquabright called Swirl Blue, from PSI. I believe Aquabright blanks are acrylic acetate, as they turn easily and polish nicely. I used my normal polishing routine: 220-600 grit sandpaper wet; 3M Tri-M-Ite polishing paper, all six grades, also wet; followed by Mequiar's 105 and 205 polishes.

The blank looked opaque, but I didn't take any chances. I painted the blank and tube, and colored the epoxy.

Very nice Jim. Looking at the label I noticed it was sourced from India. I had not seen that before.

I like that pen . Just catches the eye nicely.

Ive not tried painting blank or tube before but recently have had two "learning experiences " due to this. So it's on the try it if in doubt technique.

The white blank learning experience just looks awful with the tube showing so that ones on the " live and learn " shelf. The other one I can see but everyone says looks good so 🤷‍♂️ and my colleague chose that one as a gift so who am I to question .

First and foremost: That's a beautiful pen. I like the blank you chose to go with it.

Related:
-> I like the idea and function of the Magnetic Vertex pen kit design, but don't like that faceted look. Can anyone a similar magnetic pen kit with a softer, rounder look?

There is the Magnetic Ballpoint from Berea. There are shorter rollerball refills that will fit it. They also sell them at Woodcraft.
