I was given several logs of this stuff a couple of years ago, together with a piece that had been worked. The guy told me that the colour had changed a bit on the worked piece and I never checked what it looked like in the raw.
I was asked by Ironwood if this was the stuff that was orange with the really white sapwood, so I went and cut this just a few minutes ago.
It is "Konkerberry" and it grows in the Kimberley region of Western Australia.
I think I like it.
