Ok, so it's not a wood lathe, but many of y'all have seen this lathe before, but now she's getting a new cabinet. I finished off the top of the new cabinet tonight and started in building the face frame to house the 4" deep full width drawer and the lower doors.
This is nice and solid and bolted to the wall on 2 sides. The top is 3/4 ply, topped with a layer of 1/4 oiled hardboard and edged in oak.
The lower base will be painted in a flat finish of deep burgandy I have for a trim color in the shop. The lower doors will be a shaker style frame & panel, but with dark gray hammertite painted peg board to keep with the look of others in the shop.
Anyway, I really like how it's comming out and figured I would share a couple photos.
